The idea of permanent education was fully confirmed when the People`s university in cooperation with Institute for adult education got the official licence to organize courses within European network Third Age specially intended for the retired people.
The interest for The Third Age programmes has growing tendency in last six years. This programme originally began six years ago with 100 trainees but nowadays there are more than 500 attending courses.
The Third Age University programme uses the Department for foreign languages, Permanent education and Culture programmes adapted for the needs of elderly people.
Many artistic exhibitions were held to present the works of Third Age University students. One of our students has discovered his great artistic gift at the age of 75 and his pictures were regarded with exceptional respect.
